One among them was Meraj Faizabadi, passionate eyes of a 21 year old boy had completed his B.Sc from the University Of Lucknow in the year 1962. Having an ocean of literature within that was to take the glorious turn in the field of poetry. Meraj was born in a religious aroma of his family in the Kola Sharif Of Faizabad U.P to Syed Siraj-ul-Haq. His maternal Great Grandfather was an Inspector in the British rule. The route to B.Sc was not that easy constant transient in primary class from Kola Sharif to Faizabad and back again to Kola Sharif due to insecurity during the partition was very tough.

Meraj Faizabadi gives his initial contribution to a man named Wali Allah Dada whom he met after the partition and read a multiple books at that moment . The religious background in his upbringing can be seen in his Nazms, Na'ats . Renowned for the depth in his voice with a pinch of hypernasality gave him a versatile cognizance. Having a pinch of sorrow, motivation and a genial in his eyes gave every spectator and even narrator a benchmark to look upon.
He has a notable work in the field of poetry which includes enormous collection of his mastery but the most famous 13 ghazals are the highlight by Rekhta. in his career he has written only a single book which he has written on the numerous request of his friend and compiled them under the title Namoos in the year 2003. Tere baare main jab socha nahi tha beautiful ghazal penned by Meraj Faizabadi, and sung in the melodious voice of Jagjit Singh.
Meraj Faizabadi died due to cancer at his native place in Kola Sharif, Faizabad. He left behind the legacy of his works which can be viewed on YouTube as well. Many eminent personalities showed grief on his death including Lata Mangeshkar in her tweet .
