Mark-Antoine Gagnon is a Canadian freestyle skier specializing in mogul skiing. He is a medalist at the World Championships and has competed in the Olympic Games. Gagnon made his international debut under the FIS umbrella in 2005. He initially competed in local events and the North American Cup.
In January 2011, Gagnon made his World Cup debut at the Mont Gabriel event in Canada, where he placed ninth in parallel moguls. Later that same season, he earned his first World Cup podium finish, placing third in parallel moguls in Megeve, France.
In 2013, Gagnon made his debut at the World Championships in Norway. Although he did not compete for medals, he finished in the middle of the pack in moguls and parallel moguls. A month before the Sochi Olympic Games, Gagnon achieved his first World Cup podium in moguls, finishing third in Deer Valley.
At the Sochi Games, Gagnon was considered one of the top contenders for a medal. He finished fourth in the first final and second in the second final, narrowly losing to his teammate Mikael Kingsbury. In the decisive third final, Gagnon placed fourth, narrowly missing out on the bronze medal by just 0.99 points to Alexander Smyshliaev.
In 2015, at the World Championships in Kreischberg, Gagnon finished fifth in moguls and earned a bronze medal in parallel moguls. He also became the Canadian champion in parallel moguls and the vice-champion in moguls that season.
